On August 29 at Chubu International Airport, or “Centrair” (1 Centrair, Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture), Four Seasons Centrair Rakugo Storytellers Vol. 1 will be held in Centrair Hall, and it will revolve around the theme of “Airport Storytelling.” This will be the inaugural event, and it will be held four times a year. Performing will be Yujuku Sanyutei (rakugo, a form of comic storytelling), Sannosuke Yanagiya (rakugo) and daikagura performer Senshiro Kagami (variety).

According to a Centrair publicist, Yujuku Sanyutei and Sannosuke Yanagiya’s “hobby is aviation... Because of that, they get good reviews every time they perform their storytelling at the airport museum next to Narita Airport. They both love aviation, so they’re happy to be involved in this event at Centrair.”

The publicist added, “We hope that when Yujuku Sanyutei and Sannosuke Yanagiya perform rakugo in other places that they’ll use Centrair for their material.”

The venue will open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Admission is 2,000 yen for advance tickets and 2,500 yen on the day of the event. Seating is open. Tickets come with one day of free parking. The event will next be held on November 28.
