Moon-Viewing Party at Kitakyushu Airport’s Observation Deck and Live Koto Performance

On September 13, a moon-viewing party will be held on the observation deck at Kitakyushu Airport, which is operated by Kitakyushu Air Terminal Co., Ltd. of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture.
An unobstructed view of the mid-autumn harvest moon can be enjoyed on the roof of the terminal at the second annual holding of this popular event.
Seats for viewing the moon will be provided along with green tea, pastries, sake, side dishes and soba，and a live koto performance will add to the ambiance. Gifts will also be prepared. The airport's operator hopes you will partake in fine sake and music in a unique atmosphere, and be enchanted by the moon and "enjoy a world that has existed since time immemorial".
The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is 3,000 yen. Advanced reservations must be made by fax by August 31, and seating capacity is 50 people (adults only; no more reservations taken after capacity reached). Forms can be downloaded from the airport's website. The party will be cancelled in the event of rain.
