Commercial Flights by Singapore Airlines between Haneda and Singapore - 2 Daily Roundtrip Flights Starting Next Fall

On November 11, Singapore Airlines announced that it will fly regular flights between Haneda Airport and Singapore Changi Airport starting in October 2010.

With the opening of Runway D at Haneda Airport and a 30,000-slot increase in annual arrival and departure slots, the airline will operate four daily flights (two roundtrip) during the late night and early morning hours (11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). This is the first announcement of a new route by a non-Japanese airline company during the run-up to true internationalization of Haneda Airport. Details on time schedules and aircraft will be forthcoming.

Singapore Airlines currently operates commercial flights to Singapore from Narita, Chubu, Kansai and Fukuoka, making the Haneda route the fifth to Japan.

In September of last year, aviation regulatory agencies from the two countries agreed to establish a new direct route between Haneda and Singapore after the expansion in international arrival and departure slots with the opening of the new Runway D.
