10,000 Yen for 1-Way Flights on all Skynet Asia Routes - Foreign Visitors to Japan Eligible
(11/26/2009)
Starting December 1, Miyazaki Prefecture-based Skynet Asia Airways will sell one-way tickets to foreign visitors to Japan at a new flat rate of 10,000 yen for all of the carrier’s routes.
Under the Visit Japan program, foreign travelers staying in the country for less than 90 days on a “short-term stay” are eligible to receive the new fare. The special fare can only be used when purchasing a seat at the airport on the day of the flight, as advance reservations are not allowed. The traveler must display his or her passport when purchasing the ticket.
The fare applies to all of Skynet Asia’s routes, which run between Haneda and Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Nagasaki and Kagoshima, and between Okinawa and Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Nagasaki and Kagaoshima. According to the airline, this trial of setting a flat fare on all routes is a first among Japanese carriers.
