Pudding in Arita Ceramics Getting Attention - Fine Sweets in Limited Quantities at Fukuoka Airport
(07/08/2010)
Fine pudding in Arita ceramic cups are being sold in limited quantities at the Sora Mall in Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The Fukuoka Airport branch of Nishidori Pudding is selling this “Ai no Utsuwa” (a Japanese double entendre meaning both “Indigo Cup” and “Cup of Love”) on the second floor of the airport’s Terminal 2, which serves domestic flights. The pudding comes in a set of three for 2,800 yen and six for 5,500 yen.
The Arita ceramic cups use a traditional Koimari pattern from the Inabeseiya collection. The shop’s popular Poche steaming custard pudding is topped with French-made high quality vanilla and heated to create the Premium Poche. According to the shop, the product is popular not just for its appearance and enjoyable flavor, but also as a travel memento because the ceramic cup can be used at home after eating the pudding.
The Premium Poche is only being sold at Nishidori Pudding’s Fukuoka Airport branch and the amount of stock varies by the day. Reservations cannot be made in advance by phone or otherwise. Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
