Noto Airport in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture is now running a Noto Airport Well Cow Campaign for travelers on the Haneda route.
During the campaign, passengers on All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) flights connecting to Haneda Airport can exchange air ticket stubs (or copies) for raffle tickets that they can mail for a chance to be one of twenty lucky winners of a locally produced prize of "480 grams of Noto beef and sukiyaki meat." Noto beef is completely marbled and has a distinctly sweet flavor. Eligible flights run until November 30 and entries must be sent by December 10.
Starting on December 1, Noto Airport will run its popular annual winter campaign, "Come to Noto in Winter." In this seventh incarnation of the campaign, prizes will include snow crabs from Ishikawa Prefecture for two passengers on each of two daily ANA flights. All passengers are eligible to win and raffle results will be announced in the arrivals lobby upon the arrival of each flight, while prizes will be mailed separately. Chances of winning are higher on a flight with few passengers since the number of winners on each flight is fixed at two. This campaign will run until March 6, 2011.
Noto Airport hopes to actively promote its popular local food products as well as travel on the Haneda route and local tourism.
