Since November 15, Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba Prefecture has been offering a new form of lounge service accommodating even small groups and individuals.

The airport has changed some of its 20 lounges, which are traditionally used as paid waiting rooms for groups of air travelers and VIPs prior to boarding their flights, into a new lounge service called Personal Lounge "Rassurants" at two locations in Terminal 1 and one location in Terminal 2. Groups or families of between 1 and 10 people can use the lounges even without advance reservations. Rather than a room fee, there is a 1,000 yen charge per person (500 yen for ages 6 to 12). There is no time limit for each use of the lounges. Traditional lounge services are available such as coffee, servers, newspapers, magazines, wet hand towels and wireless LAN (requires a contract with an ISP to connect to the internet).

The lounges are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For inquiries and reservations, call the airport's paid waiting room reception desk at 0476-32-2375.
