LED light up at Narita Airport Terminal 1.

In December the observation decks at Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba Prefecture are lit up with LED lamps set up for the Sky Lights illumination project.

The lights are up at the fifth-floor observation deck in the Central Building of Terminal 1 and the north and south decks on the fourth floor of the Main Building in Terminal 2. Approximately 30,000 LED lamps have been installed to bathe the decks in a brilliant display of color that, combined with the nighttime lights on the airport's runway, create a thoroughly magical and tranquil spectacle of illumination. The observation deck lights were also put up last year, though this time the airport is turning them on for one hour less each night to conserve electricity.

The displays are illuminated from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. until February 14, 2012.
