Online Poll Selects "Peach Dream" as Name of Peach's 1st Aircraft

On February 27, Peach (IATA Code: MM, operated by Peach Aviation Limited and headquartered in Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture) announced it had decided on a name for the aircraft that made the airline's maiden flight on March 1: "Peach Dream."

The name was chosen in an online poll that was open to the public and began in October. The winning name received 482 votes. In second place was "Princess Peach" and third was "Happeach!!"

The aircraft's livery had the name painted on it and one participant in the online poll received JPY 100,000 worth of Peach Points exchangeable for air fare as well as the chance to be part of the cabin crew for a day.

Peach began flight operations on domestic routes connecting Kansai International with New Chitose and Fukuoka airports on March 1. Its entire fleet consists of Airbus A320-200s, three of which have arrived at Kansai International Airport, the carrier's hub.
