"Air Misdo" Doughnut Meals on JAL Narita-Boston Route for 4th Air Series Meal - Collaboration with Mister Donut

Starting on April 22, Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd. (JAL) will provide an original Air Misdo meal from Japanese donut chain Mister Donut on the carrier's new Narita-Boston route.

The Air Misdo, the fourth installment in JAL's popular Air Series of in-flight meals, was developed in collaboration with Mister Donut, a chain that first originated in Boston and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka-based Duskin Co., Ltd. The set contains two "classic American doughnuts" with maple and cinnamon-flavored dough coated in chocolate, along with clam chowder (a Boston staple), a sakura bean jam wafer cake and salad.

The Air Series in-flight meals are arranged to reproduce popular local foods for air travelers and are mainly served in economy class on flights to and from Western countries, offered twice before arriving at the flight's destination. Previous Air Series meals - the Air Mos Burger developed with Mos Food Services, Inc., the Air Nikuman with long-established steamed meat bun store Edosei Co., Ltd. and the Air Gyudon with Yoshinoya Co., Ltd. - have garnered a good deal of attention.

The Air Misdo will be available until June 30.
