46 New Digital Signage Installations at Narita Airport - Plus Aesthetic Content

Wide-ranging digital signage installations began operating in Terminals 1 and 2 of Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba Prefecture on March 29.

The 46 signs installed in the two terminals display promotional information and advertising for airport stores, airport promos, aesthetic content and more. There are three eight-screen installations, five store search terminals and twelve 55-inch vertical installations on the fourth and fifth floors of Terminal 1's central building, along with six store search terminals and twenty 55-inch vertical installations on the third and fourth floors of Terminal 2's main building.

The aesthetic content includes exquisite images of Japan's streets, animated photos of Japan with a fine, elaborate touch, daily scenes at Narita Airport reproduced with special effects, messages for travelers from Narita Airport employees and more.

The recent installations are only the first phase of new digital signage at the airport, with phase two slated for this summer. This is when four 27-screen displays more than nine meters wide―the largest in Japan―and one large Panorama Vision OLED display will begin operating.
