JAL and Tokyo Monorail have come together to put on the “Choppiri Otoku Campaign” from November 11 to December 19 offering free and discount rides on the monorail.

Travelers taking domestic JAL flights from any of seven Kyushu airports (Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Oita, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Kagoshima) to Haneda Airport in the morning (departure by 11:59 a.m.) can participate in a raffle for one-way tickets on the Tokyo Monorail.

One in ten travelers who present their flight ticket stub or a copy at the special counter set up at Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Terminal 1 Station will receive a one-way ticket on the spot. Individuals who do not win will still be able to purchase a ticket at a reduced fare: 350 yen for adults and 180 for children (normally 470 yen and 240 yen, respectively). Discount tickets are limited to one per person.

At Haneda Airport, the same type of joint campaign between an airline and a company providing ground transportation to the airport was put on from September through October by ANA and Keihin Electric Express Railway for flights originating from Hokkaido.

The special counter is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and raffles are limited to these times on the day of arrival to Haneda Airport.
