On May 15, an establishment called Beer Terrace Beer Air opened for a limited time only on the observation deck in Terminal 2 at Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture.

The spacious observation deck can seat up to 215 people, allowing visitors the opportunity to enjoy beer and food while getting an up-close look at the airplanes outside. As a follow-up to the popular Beer Terrace that Fukuoka Airport has set up for the past two years, they have added the phrase "Beer Air" to their advertising this year. Poster ads employ a visual of a fictional airline, Beer Air, to promote the "airport beer terrace."

On offer at the Beer Terrace is a two-and-a-half hour all-you-can-eat and drink buffet, with free drinks including beer, shochu, wine, soft drinks and other beverages (although premium shochu, champagne, fancy cakes and some other items incur an additional charge). The buffet of roughly 25 dishes is provided by restaurants in the airport. The buffet costs JPY 3,900 for adults, JPY 2,000 for junior high and high school students, JPY 1,000 for elementary school students and younger (but free for children under the age of two). Some of the special promotions that customers can join in while the terrace remains open include a random drawing for air tickets and sales of original merchandise.

The Beer Terrace is open from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., except during inclement weather. All customers must make reservations in advance. Reservations can be made by telephone at +81-92-623-0555. The Beer Terrace will remain on the observation deck until September 30.
