Jetstar Flying Kansai-Singapore Direct Starting Nov 1

On July 17, the Australia-based Jetstar group began selling air tickets for direct flights between Kansai International Airport and Singapore.

At present, travelers flying between Kansai--home to the Osaka metropolitan area--and Singapore have to change planes in Taipei or Manila, which Jetstar Asia Pty Ltd connects to Singapore. The new direct flights will begin operating on November 1. At Kansai Airport, the Jetstar group plans to offer connections to domestic flights operated by Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd., along with a connection in Singapore to Darwin, Australia. The new route linking Osaka with Singapore will be flown by Airbus A330s configured with economy and business class seating. Fares will start at JPY 10,000 for economy and JPY 60,000 for business. An A321 with economy class seating only will fly the Singapore-Darwin route.

Jetstar customers will be able to fly Darwin-Singapore-Kansai on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays (with the addition of Mondays starting December 17) and Kansai-Singapore-Darwin on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays (with the addition of Tuesdays starting on December 17).
