Cruise from Haneda on '80s Dance Music Night

A nighttime cruise on Tokyo Bay with "'80s dance music" will disembark from Haneda Airport Wharf in Ohta Ward, Tokyo on November 30.

The cruise is part of the Groove Night from Haneda Airport Wharf "Under The Jet" project by Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. The approximately three-hour journey will travel from Haneda Airport Wharf on the north banks of the Tama River, near the airport's international passenger terminal, to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse's Pier Aka-renga. A special event will be held on deck to recreate the '80s dance music scene. The DJ will be Osshy, who was at the forefront of the Japanese disco scene in the '80s and '90s and is now involved in music production and other work. He will be spinning retro tracks to bring back the songs and dancing from that era. From the boat, cruise passengers will be able to enjoy views of aircraft landing and taking off from Haneda Airport, factories along the Keihin Canal and more.

Boarding is at 6:50 p.m. Bus service has been arranged to take passengers arriving at Pier Aka-renga to JR Yokohama and Shinagawa stations as well as Haneda Airport.

The fare, which includes the cost of two drinks and one meal, is JPY 6,500 for men and JPY 4,500 for women. Tickets can be booked by contacting the Hamamatsu-cho Travel Center (operated by Haneda Passenger Service Co., Ltd.) by telephone (03-3437-5521). Capacity is limited to 120 people. Tickets will be sold in the order they are booked.
