On November 22, All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) began flying an aircraft with wrap advertising to support Tokyo's bid for the 2020 Olympics. The mobile billboard made its debut on the Haneda-Akita route, and will gradually fly elsewhere throughout the country.

The aircraft, a Boeing 767-300 dubbed by ANA the "2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo Bid Wrap Plane," has a message in Japanese along the upper half of the body that reads: "Right now, Japan needs the power of this dream." Next to the message is the logo for the Tokyo bid. The idea is to use regular commercial flights to promote the bid committee's work across Japan and to raise the public's awareness and support until the host city's selection.

ANA was the first airline to become an official partner of the committee, while rival Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) has since concluded a partner agreement as well. An ANA statement said, "We are flying the '2020 Tokyo Bid' wrap jet to energize and instill hope in Japan from the skies. The entire (ANA) group is instilling all of Japan's dreams into this aircraft to make a successful Olympic and Paralympic bid."
