Flight Deck Tokyo, an indoor observation floor, opened on the fifth story of Haneda Airport's Terminal 2 (Ohta Ward, Tokyo) on April 26.

Haneda created the indoor observation floor by remodeling part of the terminal's roof, which until then was inaccessible to the public. The roughly 600-square-meter deck is open to all airport visitors, who can view aircraft parking spaces, runways and Tokyo Bay through the glass windows. A Haneda spokesperson said, "No matter what the weather's like, you can see Tokyo Bay and planes as they land and take off. We're also planning to hold events here in the future."

The new floor also has a restaurant, Amici del te, offering coffee, fresh juice and other beverages along with food.

The restaurant is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
