The Beer Air restaurant opened on May 14 on the fourth-floor observation deck in Terminal 2 at Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture.

The open-air observation deck has seating for 230, allowing visitors the opportunity to enjoy beer and food while getting an up-close look at the airplanes outside. The restaurant, which is being promoted as an "airport restaurant," began as a limited-time setup in the summer of 2010 and was named Beer Air starting last year.

On offer at Beer Air is a two-and-a-half hour all-you-can-eat and drink buffet, with free drinks including beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The buffet of roughly 25 dishes is provided by restaurants in the airport. It costs JPY 3,950 for adults, JPY 2,000 for junior high and high school students, and JPY 1,000 for elementary school students and younger (but free for children under the age of two).

Beer Air is open from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., except during inclement weather. Reservations can be made by telephone at +81 92-623-0555. Beer Air will remain on the observation deck until October 5.
