Fast food chain Burger King will open a branch inside Kansai International Airport in Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture in late August.

Shibuya Ward, Tokyo-based Burger King Japan's new store, the Burger King Kansai Airport Aeroplaza Branch, will be open 24 hours a day and is the chain's first location inside a Japanese airport. It will open as remodeling in the Aeroplaza commercial complex wraps up. The restaurant will have pleasant lighting and interior design as well as seats with power outlets so that the diverse travelers passing through Terminal 2 and elsewhere in the 24-hour airport can enjoy a relaxing meal there. A Burger King Japan publicist said customers will be able to use the new branch "like an airport lounge as well as for business purposes."

The Kansai Airport restaurant will offer the Whopper and other signature items found on the menus of Burger King's other locations. Burger King Japan will announce the opening date once it is determined.
