Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd. (JAL) started up a sightseeing bus reservation service at its foreign language websites on June 21 for foreign travelers visiting Japan.

By partnering with Hato Bus Co., Ltd., an operator in Ohta Ward, Tokyo that runs various bus tours to Tokyo-area sightseeing spots, JAL wants to improve service for foreign travelers visiting Japan and make the country into more of a "travel destination." By making the addition to its domestic hotel booking service long available at its foreign language websites, JAL now allows travelers to reserve sightseeing bus tours with certified English-speaking guides.

JAL is offering the online bus reservation service at the English site, accessible from the homepage of the airline's Japanese site, as well as in nine languages (English, Simplified Chinese [Mainland China], Traditional Chinese [Hong Kong], Traditional Chinese [Taiwan], Thai, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian) for twenty-six countries at its overseas site's homepage.

Travelers can book buses on courses covering half a day (morning or afternoon) or a full day that include visits to sites like the Imperial Palace, Asakusa and Meiji Shrine and even a cruise on Tokyo Bay.
