International charter carrier Asia Atlantic Airlines Co., Ltd. (AAA), operated by Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo-based travel agency group H.I.S. Co., Ltd., announced on July 24 that it will push back the start date for a limited period of flights connecting its Bangkok hub with Kansai and Narita airports from this month to August and September.

The company explained that the reason is "because it will take more time than planned to obtain an Air Operator Certificate in Thailand." This is the second such delay, as on July 9 AAA announced an earlier belated start to its initial flight schedule for the same reason.

The current flight schedule will run from August 20 to November 4 on the Narita-Bangkok route and September 1 to 27 on the Kansai-Bangkok route. AAA will transfer passengers who booked flights scheduled prior to the new start date to other airlines while imposing no fee for cancellations.
