Capsule hotel chain Nine Hours, based in Tokyo's Minato Ward, will open its new Narita Airport location on July 20 at Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba Prefecture. The hotel can be contacted by phone prior to its opening at +81-03-5413-7108.

The new hotel will be on underground floor B1 under parking garage P2, which connects directly to Terminal 2. Guests will be able to make overnight stays, daytime stays of a few hours or even just rent a shower, thus accommodating various travelers, whether making connections at the airport or traveling solo.

There will be a total of 129 capsule units (71 for men, 58 for women) and 16 shower rooms (7 for men, 9 for women). The front desk will be open 24 hours a day for check-in. The standard rate for an overnight stay is JPY 3,900. For daytime use it will be JPY 1,500 for the first hour and JPY 500 for every additional hour. Meanwhile, showers will be JPY 1,000 an hour.

The new hotel is the chain's second after its Kyoto branch. The company says that nine hours is the total time required for the three basic elements of an overnight stay: washing off sweat, sleeping and dressing oneself.

Reservations can be made through the hotel website, via email or over the telephone.
